Florence

1) Casino Medici di San Marco, Via Cavour, 57: here is the most important  laboratory of alchemy owned by Francesco I de 'Medici.
2) Museo Leonardo, Via dei Servi, 66/68: it is possible to find reproductions of Leonardo da Vinci machines, which were decoded from the famous” da vinci codes”.  

 

 

3) Santa Maria del Fiore, via della Canonica, 1:  in the Church there is an astronomical sundial
4) House of Dante Alighieri, via Santa Margherita, 1: it is believed that the original manuscript of the divine commedy is hidden in the house somewhere.
5) Santa Croce: the Church contains  tombs of many important characters , such as Girolamo Segato, Ugo Foscolo, Leon Battista Alberti, Vittorio Alfieri, Galileo Galilei, Michelangelo, Niccolò Machiavelli and others. The tomb of Giovanni Battista Niccolini carries the Statue of Free Poetry. This figure was taken as a model for the famous  american Statue of Liberty .
6) Palazzo Vecchio, Piazza della Signora: in the room “Salone dei Cinquecento “, there are various Giorgio Vasari paintings.  It is believed that under one of these paintings there could be the original painting of Leonardo da Vinci “the battle of Anghiari”.    In a room of the same building we find the Nativity of the Master, where there is a possible representation of a UFO. On the first floor, it is still possible to visit the alchemical atelier of Francesco I de 'Medici. A very similar studio i sto be found under the Church of San Marco. At Palazzo Vecchio there is a painting of Giovanni Stradano (1523-1605) entitled  "The laboratory of the alchemist"
7) Uffizi Museum: in the branch of the Italian painters, there are works of Leonardo da Vinci, including the “Virgin of the Rocks” and “ Mona Lisa” .. in its archives there are some rare alchemical codes written on lead foils.  Among the huge ammount of archeological finds, there is the so called Etruscan chimera.
8) Museum of Science History, Piazza de 'Giudici: the second floor there are examples of alchemically mineralized bodies, produced by Gerolamo Segato, where its studies are put in custody at the university of Florence, Anathomy department.  In the same building we find a reproduction of an alchemical atelier

9) Boboli Gardens at Palazzo Pitti: thi  is a place full of alchemical symbolism. Similar and close by point of arcane  interest  are the “ Madama Gardens”, the “ Buontalenti Cave” and the “Palazzo della Meridiana”
